Boozy Holiday Cocktails
lt's the time of year where the line between a morning cup of coffee and an afternoon cocktail has become a little blurry. Everyone is in a better mood this time of year, and we have reason to believe it's because people are adding a dash of rum to the eggnog. We thought we should help you out with a few recipes for some boozy coffee cocktails you can make with your favorite Eiland Coffee at home. We have 4 recipes that are sure to quench your delirious coffee craving and impress your friends/family.
1 Serving = 1 drink. As far as coffee goes, what roast you should use depends on the drink! Brazil is always a good option if you like more chocolate notes. If you want to go with a fruity coffee, Ethiopia or Kenya are a good option.
Oaxacan Trail
For all the tequila lovers, and you know who you are. The chocolate mole bitters take this drink to a whole other level. We love to use Ethiopia Ardi as the cold brew for this drink.
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients:
1 oz Mezcal
1 oz Vanilla Syrup
2 oz Cold Brew
15 Drops of Chocolate Mole Bitters
1. Add all ingredients into a mixing glass and stir lightly.
2. Strain and serve over a large ice cube.
3. Garnish with an orange peel and enjoy.
Dublin Iced Coffee
We had to throw a classic in the mix. We changed it up just a bit and went with a bit of Guinness. A drink that is so smooth and creamy, we can't get enough. The coffee choice is a no brainer, go with Brazil Condado.
Makes 1 serving.
Ingredients:
2 oz Cold Brew Coffee
2 oz Stout Beer (We Use Guinness)
1 1/2 oz Irish Whiskey
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
1/2 oz Heavy Cream
Grated/Ground Cinnamon
1. Mix Coffee, Stout, Whiskey, and Simple Syrup into a highball glass.
2. Add ice to fill glass
3. Gently pour in cream and let it sink into the drink.
4. Garnish with Cinnamon and serve.
Espresso Summer
We don't pick favorites...but this is our favorite. This drink is a holiday take on a Gin and Tonic. Refreshing and perfect for just about any occasion, especially brunch. We like to throw an espresso shot in there, but if not, go with Kenya Kigutha as your cold brew.
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients:
1 oz Espresso or Cold Brew
1 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
1 oz Orange Juice
Blackberries and Orange Slice
1. Shake Espresso shot over ice to chill, or use Cold Brew.
2. Add Gin, Simple Syrup, and Orange Juice to the shaker to combine and pour over ice.
3. Top drink with a few blackberries and an orange slice.
Dark Moon
We would never leave you rum people without an option. A perfect after dinner drink to try, with the perfect balance of sweet and spice.
Makes 8 servings.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Cold Brew
1/2 cup Coffee Liquor
1/2 cup Spiced Rum
(1) 12 oz Coca- Cola
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
1. Combine Cold Brew, Coffee Liquor, Rum, and Coca-Cola into a large pitcher.
2. Stir lightly and divide amongst 8 glasses filled with ice.
3. Add Heavy Cream gently and enjoy.
